...I think Jidai's watched too many movies. There's no way that'd work in real life.
(well, at least not by just jumping around... it'd need some serious training and stuff, I think)

I think they should find something burnable, light it, and then pick a direction and see if they can find a door. ...although, if I was Astir and suggested that, Jidai would probably yell at me and say there's nothing burnable, and nothing to make a fire with. T_T

i have another suggestion too: just to make it obvious, i'd add a little note making it obvious as to why jidai-obaasan can't be the one jumping up.. took me a moment to remember!

@Asj: well dont forget its a comic:P Not like monsters live in real life too XD Putting too much reasoning into comic kills all the fun ;D And well, Astir can always cut Jidais hair *with his sword he left outside haha*. That would make perfect torch (at least for a moment). And jidai will do fire with his rage <3

@AzraelFiachra: and a ribbon ;D

@Thal: Might be another language difrence then. In polish its pretty common and natural D: (I've seen it in couple of books myself). Ill do small reasearch, if its really so inapropriate i might switch to unreal then or something similar x) These pages will look completly difrent in final version, might put a chibi as you suggest (tho i so love sticikmans Q_Q).
Its ok, Jidai obasan injury will be pointed out on next page. We have plot written for a coouple of pages ahead and we decided to move it a bit to make the flow more natural and stuff :D But phear not, it's all planned up so far ;> <33

I think I was mainly thinking about how simple Jidai's little diagram made it look. Your comic's pretty realistic most of the time, so I think Astir would just fall on his butt if he tried it. ^_^" (and I think Jidai might be exaggerating his country's training a little bit...)
But the fire-rage plan sounds good. :D

@Asj: actually Jidai's country used to be placed next to supreme to humans creatures, and gods, so I wouldn't be suprised if he could >TRY< doing that XDD (People in his country were REALLy well-trained :P If he stayed there, who knows XD) I'm Not so sure if he would suceed now, though, but luckily for him, he cant proove anything to Astir in his current state XD.
One bad point of fire-rage plan is that the sword actually stayed up :v so he must figure out what to use to cut Jidai's hair with D:

He could try just hitting him with a rock, instead. I think that'd make him rage.
Or, taking what AzraelFiachra mentioned, Astir could talk Jidai into taking off his clothes for the better good. Then, after they burn up in half a second, Jidai would get really mad. Not only would he light up the place, he'd probably run after Astir so fast, they'd make it out the door in seconds.

@Asj: haha XD IF there's the door ofc! (Astir wouldn't take risk of meeting a wall and having outraged and burning up fishie behind him QnQ) Anyways, luckily for them both this wont happen so Jidais clothes and hair can stay at peace x)

FYI Jidai he doesn't have that ability to jump wall to wall, he might hurt himself... I think. XD
